    How to make a blog using Wordpress.com - seewriteandpost.com

    Another blogging platform without any initial investment was WordPress.com. WordPress had more theme, more layout much way interesting platform compared to Blogspot.com. The best part of WordPress is you can decorate or organize your blog with your own creativity.

    They have about 100 or more themes to create a blog or website, however, not all of the themes you can use because you might need to invest a little amount of money. If you looking for a more simple and easy to handle blog, read more on how to start a free blog on blogspot.com.

    WordPress.com Vs WordPress.org

    What are WordPress.com and Wordpress.org? WordPress.com - Make a free blog or website, but sometimes you have to pay if you wanted an upgraded blog. Whereas WordPress.org - Free database WordPress; however, you need hosting for your website.

    If you decided to start building your blog using WordPress, here are some of the step on doing it.

    Step-by-step to make a free blog for WordPress

    1) Go to WordPress.com

    Type in on Google, wordpress.com or you can easily click on this WordPress.com. You should see the photo as below (WordPress.com) platform.

    Next, click the button at the centre "Start your website".

    Website and blog are more or less the same, except that you create a new and fresh post in the blog, whereas the website contained fixed information and will be updated from time to time.

    2) Let's get started (Step 1 to Step 6)

    In the next step, you have to complete a certain question and fill up a piece of information. It only takes 10 minutes to complete this section before you can continue.

    Step 1: You have to enter your email address. Next, you need to create a username and the password of your WordPress. After you have finish fill all of the requirement, proceed to "create your account".

    Step 2: In this part, you will be asked about what kind of your site or blog is. In other meaning, what is it about? You can choose between the four categories. In this case, when you wanted to open a blog, then select the blog. If you want to start an eCommerce or business, then choose the online store.

    Step 3: Next, after you have chosen your type of site (in this case: blog), narrow your blog into a specific topic, in other words, your blog niche: here are some of the suggested blog niche from WordPress.
    • People
    • Blogging
    • Photography
    • Dating
    • Travel
    • Local 
    • Food
    After you have to pick your blog niche, then proceed to "Continue".
    Step 3

    Step 4: Step 4 can be a bit tricky You have to put on your blog's name. For example, Lisa Maurie's Blog or Blogging Tutorial 101. However, the title can be changed from time to time.

    Step 5: Next, you have to enter your domain address. When you put your keywords in the white box, WordPress will automatically suggest a name to create. A domain consists of www.example.com for example www.sewritenadpost.com.

    Step 6: However, getting a domain is not free. As you can see in the photo below, WordPress suggested you the domain name, but it came with a paid plan. If you want to have a free domain, then a custom domain it is. A custom domain for WordPress consists of wordpress.com at the end of the address.

    Since we want a free account, your custom domain should look like this www.example.wordpress.com. Then, proceed to "select".

    Step 6

    That's it! yours succeed to create an account for WordPress. However, it will be a little tricky and hard for posting or learn about WordPress at first. But in time, you will understand how WordPress work.
