My psycho ex-boyfriend part 2 - short stories 2020

"Hey, Darcy? have you heard of anything that happened to him?" - Sarah
"Who? That psycho man? I don't think so. I hope he gets caught by the police." - Darcy
"Yeah, me too, it's been a year and hasn't heard any news about him? Hope you'll be fine." - Sarah
"Don't worry, I'm safe here (laughing). Can't wait to see you again." - Sarah
"Yeah, me too. See you next week Sarah. Bye." - Darcy

I hung up the phone. It's been a year I haven't heard any news from Julian. Sarah's question had made my anxiety arise. I was sitting in a cafe while listening to music. I spoke to her, Sarah, about our coming back to College. But, I had a trauma event regarding what happened a year ago. It was a crazy freshmen year. Please, no drama this year, no more scene, please.
Two days before I go back to college, I packed up my clothes, and my things. My mother helps me with it. We talked a lot, and she knew what happened to my p…

My Quarantine life - Day 45, do what makes you happy!

See, Write, and Post-it. Our eyes see and record every memory that goes on in life.

I guess I had a lot of talent in my life, but cooking is not one of my talents. 😂

The truth is sad, I thought that I'd achieved almost everything in my life, but at a certain point, there's always something that I am not good at. This, make me realize that there's a lot of things I need to improve in myself. However, it's not an excuse for me or anyone to not try at least make something, we might felt that we a far behind than anybody else who did much better than us, but it's a regret of not trying to make something even it is a simple thing. 💗

So, today, I'm trying to make something, as I explore and expand my hobbies during this COVID19, I think it's a good thing to explore, can I or can't I make Pinjaram? Haha.

What is Pinjaram?

Pinjaram or Penyaram is a traditional food from the Brunei and state of Sabah, Malaysia (Bajau Ethnic). It is a popular food search on google since this quarantine. Try googling it.

I obtained this from Wikipedia

How I make my first trial Pinjaram?

P/s: I don't have enough ingredients, so I just make whatever I like 😂

Ingredients:

1 Cup of rice flour
1 Cup of wheat flour
1 Cup of warm water
A half-cup of sugar
A pinch of salt
A cooking oil

All these ingredients were mixed together and I left it overnight at least 8 hours.

The next day:

  1. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan (medium heat).
  2. Pour 1 tablespoon of the batter mixture in the middle (a mixture you left for overnight).
  3. The texture of the Pinjaram should be - round, curly at the sides, and slightly high in the middle.

I used the wrong frying pan, and too much cooking oil haha
My first trial of Pinjaram
Ready to be served haha
I made it, though they are different than those for sale. 😂 For a first trial, I think, that's okay.
