Once upon a time, there was a girl named Emily who had just started college. She was a bright and ambitious young woman, but she had never been in love before. That is, until she met Daniel. Daniel was charming, confident, and had a smile that could light up a room. Emily was smitten from the moment she laid eyes on him. They started dating and it wasn't long before they were inseparable. But as time went on, Emily began to notice some things about Daniel that bothered her. He was often late for their dates, and sometimes he would cancel at the last minute. He also seemed to have a wandering eye, checking out other girls even when Emily was right there beside him. Emily started to feel like she was second best, like Daniel wasn't really that into her. But whenever she tried to talk to him about it, he would charm her with his smile and she would forget all about her doubts. Things came to a head one night when Emily went to surprise Daniel at his apartment. She walked in to fin
"Tell me more about yourself." Benedict.
"You will get to know about me sooner." Suzy.
The first meeting
Every Friday, we had a colleague's after-work meeting at a restaurant. At that time, Johnson, one of my best friends, had no transport to going back to his house. So, he rode with me. On the way to his house, about 20 minutes from the restaurant, he talked to me about introducing me to someone, but I rejected it.
But I guess he won't give up. The following day, he came to my desk and show me the picture of a woman, a mutual friend of her wife. Honestly, she looked pretty, so I think I'm interested. I asked for her number. Instead, he gave me her Facebook. So, I tried to approach her through the messenger. But first, I checked out her Facebook and noticed she really is a classy woman. Yup, she's my type.
Luckily she accepted my request, so we were getting to know through Facebook messenger. We were having a chat for about a month to learn more about each other during that period. So I asked her that I wanted to know her more, then I gave her my phone number. I don't have to wait for so long because she texted me right away.
Not long after that, I asked her out. She agreed to meet up. The process of knowing each other from Facebook, then the phone number and to face to face take two months. We met up on Saturday in March 2010. I remembered she's wearing a white blouse and long black pants with a high heels shoe at that time. Tight her black hair with natural makeup and have an easy-going character. So, we talked.
Honestly, she looks so beautiful at first glance. The date went well on that day. We were getting to know each other. Talk about what we were doing with our lives, career, and how we look at the future. Seriously, I like to talk more about dreams and the future ahead; she was the type of person who listens and gives her opinion. I was getting along with her though that was our first time meeting. But, we didn't declare that we had a relationship. We just being friends at that time.
I help her with so many sorts of things. As time flies by, I'm getting to know her siblings, parents, and her whole family. So did her. It seemly I became close with her family. Therefore, on that day, I decided to talk to her, a more friendly approach. Let's get engage. I asked her spontaneously, and she said yes.
In the New year 2012, we're got engaged. We spent more time together even we're not married yet. We're travelled together, seeing the world and look for more challenges in life. We're not really serious about preparing for a wedding because the wedding is for the two of us. And we both think that the two peoples are more important than the wedding ceremony itself. So, we enjoy what we have at that time.
Until the truth had been spoken.
In July 2013, I had to attend a meeting in Japan for work purposes. So, I will not bring Suzy if it had to do with work. I go, and she stays. While I was in Japan for a week, she will look after my house. But, what happened on that day must be a coincidence. A week before I flew to Japan, we had a party event at my home. On Monday, while I was still in Japan, Johnson texted me that he had to go to my house to take the document needed for their meeting. I allowed him to go to my house because Suzy must be working on Monday, so she will not be at home.
As Johnson arrived at my house, he took the key and opened the door. He was shocked because there were two shoes in the house, even though he knew that I was in Japan, and Suzy was supposed to be at work. He kept his mouth shut for a while. Soon, Suzy came out of the bathroom and was shocked but hurriedly ran to the bedroom. Johnson must have known that Suzy hides something. But he chooses to remain silent as he knows it's not his business. So, he pretended and apologised to Suzy as he didn't know that she was there.
A week had passed, and I came back to my country. Nevertheless, things got really weird. As I came back from Japan, Suzy seemly find it's like nothing is wrong with her. I gave her presents and take her out for dinner. But then, when I came back to the office, Johnson keeps avoiding me. I thought it was weird, and not long after, I tried to communicate with him.
"Are you okay, Johnson?" I ask.
"I'm okay Benedict, how was your trip?" Johnson.
"Great, as usual."
"How was Suzy?" Johnson.
"She's fine."
"How long you know about her?" Johnson.
"Too long enough, why?" I found that his question was odd.
"You should check on her often," Johnson said, then he continues his work.
The conversation stops there.
