December with kindness - season of giving | Lisa Maurie

We are already entering the season of giving. For the past 3 days, I was at the conference for work purposes. And I remember the spokesperson as saying "Be kind to everyone even though they treat you like trash". It is a very harsh word, but that is the reality of what we are facing nowadays.

No matter how good we tried to show to people, we get bash. It happened to me all the time. My old good friend said "we don't need to prove to anyone by doing something good to them, just let them see, and if they are judging you the way you handle a situation, or help others, just ignore, just let them judge you because you don't need to explain to everyone on what you are doing. You're wasting your energy to entertain them."

Why we should be kind to others?

1) Some people need our help

We might not realize it, but some people were just not as lucky as everyone. Maybe, they had a rough day, and of course, it is not our job to make them happy. But, yeah, we can't help in anyways, but what is given to us, our ability to help others, then do it. You are not losing anything. Help others based on what you could help. If you can't help them to your advantage then give them comfort.

2)  Be kind to make you feel better

I was born in a simple family. And I know to live in that situation, the problem with family, money and a lot. I've been there and I understand the feeling of having nothing. By seeing people who needed our help, and helping them with what we have actually made me feel better. I don't have much, but being able to be kind to anyone just makes me feels enough.

3)  Kindness can make a new friend.

Well, though not many will agree with me, even you doing your best to befriend anyone, still, you got zero feedback. If you are kind, a new friend will come by at a time you would not expect. Instead of hoping someone to act good for us, we should just flow with kindness to everyone with no exception.
