Our eyes see and record every memory that goes on in life. A blog that writes short stories, motivation quotes, blogging tips, and positive vibes. The world is becoming insane. It gets increasingly violent, with wars, economic recessions, political power obsession, the deaths of innocent people, earthquakes, viruses, and disease. It may seem to be the end of the world, yet life carries on as long as the planet continues to rotate, and we are still breathing. I told myself last year that I would publish a blog article every week to keep the momentum going. However, things have lately altered as a result of several important priorities. And, as I write my second blog entry of the year, I have a nightmare. Everyone has one or more things they want to avoid in their life, whether it's people or events. We've been fighting this virus together for two years. I didn't want to get infected with the coronavirus at all. This could happen to anybody, including me. I recently tested p
Do you remember telling me that I am that woman you would be married to in the future? Do you remember that you ask me to be the mother of our children? And after five years of relationship, you finally take a step, took my hand asking me to be your wife? And I said yes. Yes, to that man who protects me, loving me unconditionally, and appreciates me. But why it had to stop? ~ Linda.
The year 2000
I was working as a receptionist at the Hotel. I met a lot of different people, different places, all around the world. The Hotel I was worked with had some reputation, favour by the tourist, known by global. And I am the first person they will talk with as they enter the hotel. I love my job.
On Sunday evening, I was working. It was heavy rain outside of the hotel. All of the tourists were rushed into the reception area. I was pretty busy at that time. Around 9.00 o'clock in the evening, there was a man. He was soaked in the rain with his backpack. I thought he will directly come to the reception area asking for a room to rent, but he just sits there, in the waiting area. Maybe he waits for his clothes to dry, my thought.
It was longer than I thought; he waited there for more than 30 minutes. I know it's not my right to go there while I was still working, but I insist on going check on him. As I get near him, I can see his leg was shivering; he would get cold. I hurriedly went to the worker's locker and took my jacket. I lent it to him. With a slight smile, he said thank you. I was trying to talk to him, but I heard someone called out my name, it was my manager. I got scolded, and I return back to my seats.
As I return back to the receptionist's desk, that man left with my jacket.
I was in great shock. Did he take away my jacket? What a strange man.
After a while, that man came back.
He held two cups of coffee in his hands, he came near my colleague and me, giving us that warm coffee, and he gave back my jacket. I misjudge him. After we said thank you, he left with a smile and walk away from the hotel.
That's how my first time meeting him, an unexpected situation and place.
The next day, I was supposed to have a day off because I had to take care of my mother at the hospital, but my colleague got sick and ask me to replace her. I was so easy to be persuaded. So, I did. I postponed seeing my mother and get back to work. Little that I know, that man was there again. But this time, he walks towards me and handing a small piece of paper.
"Meet me after work. I wait for you near the cafe" anonymous.
It was beyond expectation. After a night shift, I get my things at the worker locker, and start my scooter and directly go to the cafe. Obviously, I was excited to see that person. It was him, the person who I was lent a jacket. We had a great talk; we talk like we have been known for a long time. Since then, we always saw each other.
That how we started to fall in love.
